Superior plant extract of black currant fruit
.Vitakruid Ribes Nigrum tincture consists of black currant. The berry contains a high content of biochemical constituents, including vitamins, minerals, trace elements and the polyunsaturated fatty acids gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) and alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). It also possesses high levels of anthocyanidins (ANC) and proanthocyanidins (PAC).
The black currant, compared to blueberries and blackberries, possesses higher amounts of these substances. Therefore, the flagship berry is an extremely valuable supplement for both general and specific use.
Many of the Ribes Nigrum supplements available contain only blackcurrant leaf extract. However, the use of extract from the fruit of the black currant bush has a significantly greater effect than extract from the leaves, because it contains the highest content of active ingredients.
