Nutrex Hawaii was founded in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii by Dr. Gerald Cysewski. He is a globally recognized expert on microalgae and carotenoids. Nutrex has a specialist range of Astaxanthin with the patented BioAstin extract.
Nutrex Hawaii is the only microalgae production facility that is located in a "BioSecure Zone. This zone prohibits the use of pesticides and GMOs.
The products are produced without the use of pesticides, herbicides and in addition, care is taken to ensure that no land erosion or water pollution occurs. The products are guaranteed GMO-free and non-irradiated.
Nutrex is frequently audited by the FDA, the State of Hawaii Department of Health, the US Department of Agriculture and the Federal Trade Commission.
Nutrex is the first microalgae production facility to hold ISO (since 1999) and GMP certification. In addition to the 15 in-house control analyses, all products are also tested in independent and certified laboratories.
