Aged Black Garlic
Aged Black Garlic from Life Extension contains 500 mg of black garlic extract Garlzac® (patent pending) per capsule. This extract is standardized to 0.5% S-allylcysteine (SAC), so 2.5 mg per capsule. SAC is an active ingredient found naturally in black garlic.
Raw garlic contains considerably less SAC than black garlic. Treating raw garlic with humidity and heat for 15 to 90 days increases the amount of SAC significantly.
