SAMe | S-Adenosyl-L-Methionine

S-Adenosyl-L-Methionine (SAMe (or SAM-e)) is involved in the production of DNA and RNA, phospholipids, carnitine, taurine, cysteine, creatine, polyamines, hormones and neurotransmitters, among other things.

SAMe is made primarily in the liver from the essential amino acid methionine and ATP (adenosine triphosphate).

For SAMe to work properly, vitamin B12, Vitamin B6 and Folic acid are required.
