What is Chamomile?

chamomile flowersChamomile is a unique European herb with a long history of use: it is said that the ancient Egyptians were already familiar with its effects. Its use was common in the Middle Ages.

Kamille has beautiful fresh flower petals and a yellow center and belongs to the composite family. This name comes from the word composition, which means that the plant is a collection of all small flowers that grow very close together in a camomile.

Chamomile is an herb that has a wonderful apple scent. The herb has many uses but not in cooking. In particular, it is used as a tea, in extract or in personal care products.

There are 2 types of chamomile; the true, also called German Chamomile and the Roman Chamomile. The action and appearance are similar.
