CBD percentages are misleading because they do not allow you to compare the effects of different products. Therefore, look only at how many milligrams (mg) one drop or capsule contains.
Look at 'mg' per capsule or drop, not '%'
Don't be fooled by the percentage designations for CBD oil and capsules. Why percentages are often used in CBD oil supplements instead of mg (milligrams) is not entirely clear. This may be due to the fact that the people producing the oil have to produce oils with a certain percentage of CBD. The manufacturer simply adopts this and lists 5% or 15% large on the packaging.
However, this says nothing about how much CBD you are actually ingesting. One pipette is not the other and some oils are more liquid than others. Because of this, one drop of a 15% oil does not necessarily contain three times as much as one drop of a 5% oil.
5% stronger than 16%?
And with capsules, it's even more impossible to compare. One capsule contains a 16% oil and another brand's capsule contains a 5% oil. The 16% seems more than three times as strong. But in reality it then turns out that the 5% contains four times as much CBD as the 16%. How is that possible?
The 16% oil is in very small capsules and the 5% oil is in regular capsules, which contain about 12 times as much CBD oil as the small capsules. But of course 16 (%) looks much nicer on the packaging than 6 (mg).
Look at dosage in 'mg' per drop or capsule
When buying CBD oil or capsules, therefore, do not look at the strength in percentages (%), but only at the number of milligrams (mg) per drop or capsule. Only then can you compare different supplements.

THC-free CBD oil
CBD is not psychoactive and thus has no mind-altering effects. The substance from the hemp plant that does have psychoactive effects is called THC, which is not found in CBD oil. Provided the oil is of high quality.
The brands we sell test every production batch for THC and purity. You can find the analysis results of these tests on the product pages. They contain CBD from 100% legally grown hemp, just like those in pharmacies.
See here, for example, the Certificate of Analysis for Wedihemp CBD Capsules 5%:

Guaranteed quantity of CBD
It is not only important to make sure that it is free of THC, but more importantly that it contains enough CBD. There are products on the market that contain dozens of times less than they state.
It's available everywhere. Kruidvat, Etos, even supermarkets and many other stores sell CBD oil. But depending on where you buy it, it is not always clear what the quality of the oil is and how many active ingredients it contains. So pay close attention to this when buying CBD oil.
Our CBD oil and capsules are guaranteed to contain the amount listed on the packaging/website. You can also find this in the analysis certificates we include with the products.
From Austria
Wedihemp from Austria is among the highest quality CBD brands.
It is true that hemp grown in Austria is of better quality than hemp grown in most other countries. But this is not the main reason for Wedihemp's high quality.
Wedihemp's production method is the reason for the consistently high quality and reliability of their CBD extracts and very low THC content.
Other quality CBD brands include Cannamedic, Hemplife and Hemptouch.
Capsules increasingly popular than oil
Previously, CBD oil supplements were mainly in liquid form on the market. But capsules are increasingly being chosen. These do not have the disadvantages of drops: they are easier to take, easier to dose and you are thus not bothered by the often very strong taste of the oil.
Customer experiences with the Wedihemp CBD are very positive. And more and more then choose the capsules instead of the oil.
CBG and CBN oil
CBG
CBG stands for Cannabigerol. It is one of the many cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant (more than 100). We have two liquid CBG oil supplements in our range:
CBN
CBN stands for Cannabinol and is yet another cannabinoid. CBN is a non-psychoactive oxidation product of THC.
We currently have 1 CBN product in the range:
What is CBD Oil?
There are hundreds of different substances in cannabis plants. About 100 of them are so-called cannabinoids. The most well-known cannabinoid is THC, the active ingredient in marijuana and hashish. This mind-altering substance causes people to get high. The other major cannabinoid from the cannabis plant is CBD, or cannabidiol. This substance has no psychoactive effects, so it does not get you high. The taste of CBD is best described as nutty.
How is CBD oil made?
Most plants for CBD oil are grown on organic farms in the Netherlands, but also in Slovenia and Austria, for example. The farmers ensure that the CBD content in the cannabis or hemp plants is as high as possible. They can grow the cannabis plants legally because there is no THC in them. But how exactly is the oil made? Cannabidiol is extracted from the flowers and leaves of hemp or cannabis plants through CO2 extraction. After that extraction process, a paste remains. To this, hemp seed oil is added. This makes it an oil that is easier to dose.
What are the best products?
Of course, all the products we sell have been tested. The quality standards we apply to the rest of our supplements also apply to these products. Another difference, of course, is the dosage and concentration. The higher concentrations work faster and have a broader effect than those with a lower concentration.
What is CBDa?
Cannabidiolic acid (acid), abbreviated CBDa, is the acid form (raw) of cannabidiol and is found naturally in cannabis plants. Structurally, it is similar to cannabidiol, only CBDa contains carboxylic acid. Just as THC forms from THCa, CBD forms from CBDa. This process usually occurs after drying or heating (decarboxylation) of the plant material.
There are two extraction methods for extracting CBD from the hemp plant. Heating or supercritical CO2 extraction. After heating, the oil contains the cannabinoid CBD, along with proteins from hemp, vitamins A and E, carotene, and omega-3 and -6.
The oil is extracted from the hemp plant.
With CO2 extraction, however, multiple acids are retained. This means that multiple types of cannabinoids are present in the oil, namely also CBG, CBN and CBGa. In addition, terpenes, flavonoids and phenols also remain present in a CO2 extract.
How fast does it work?
CBD works quickly, with some people noticing effects within as little as 15 minutes.
Use it for at least several weeks for the best effect.
Is it legal?
Yes, because the products do not contain THC they are 100% legal in the Netherlands and also in most other European countries.
Do you also ship to Belgium?
Yes. It is made from hemp and is legal in Belgium and in most other European countries.
Does it get you high or stoned?
You cannot get high or stoned because it does not contain THC. It can be used completely safely even by children.
How many drops or capsules should I use?
Usage may vary from person to person and from product to product. You can contact us for appropriate advice for your desired application. After this, you can adjust the dosage as needed. Please also read the information present with the product itself for advice on usage.
How best to take it.
Make sure to shake the bottle well before each use so that the cannabidiol, which often sinks to the bottom, can mix well. Now drop a few drops under the tongue by squeezing the cap of the pipette. Hold this in the mouth for a few moments allowing it to be absorbed well by the oral mucosa. After about a minute, you can swallow any remaining oil. The bottles drip best when they are at room temperature, the higher the percentage of CBD the thicker the product becomes.
How long is the oil shelf life?
It is best kept cool and dark. The oil will then keep for at least 1 year. Keep in mind that by keeping the oil cold the viscosity increases. Therefore, use it preferably at room temperature.
Hemp seed oil, a healthy addition
Most of our products include hemp seed oil, a natural product made from cold-pressed hemp seeds. By cold-pressing the seeds, high-quality essential ingredients (minerals, vitamins B, E, omega-3 fatty acids, proteins and carotene) remain in the oil.
Does it also have side effects?
There are no known side effects with normal use.
Does it have drug interactions?
CBD is a very safe molecule and can be used by almost anyone. Nevertheless, it is wise to be well informed about the possible interaction and contraindication it may have with your medications.
Cannabidiol is processed by the same system of enzymes as many regular medications, Cytochrome P450. When the P450 enzyme has to process more than one substance at a time, its metabolism can speed up, slow down or even lose its effect altogether. This means the action of a substance can become stronger or weaker, and that can increase the likelihood of side effects.
CBD oil is known to have interactions with medications for blood pressure, among other things
May pets use it as well?
Dogs, cats and other pets may also use CBD oil. How much they need depends on their weight. The heavier, the higher the required dose. In the beginning, you can take a dose of 1 mg of CBD per kg of body weight. The oil can be mixed with your pet's food.
