Bitter Melon

Bitter Melon (Bitter Melon) supplement

Wild Bitter Melon - Bitter Melon

Bitter melon is a vegetable with many names. It is also known as sopropo, bitter gourd, karela, mordica and as bitter melon. It is native to India and has been picked wild since ancient times. Today, bitter melon is grown worldwide, including in Europe. The plant prefers a warm, humid climate with plenty of sunlight hours.

The vegetable resembles a wrinkled, shriveled cucumber with a green skin and white, translucent flesh. The taste, as the name suggests, is very bitter.

Bitter

As humans, we have a natural aversion to the taste bitter. The reason lies in the distant past and the cause is probably that bitter was associated with food that was poisonous. Nowadays we see this aversion in young children and sometimes adults. The "trick" to appreciating it anyway is to eat the food in question at least 10 times, which of course will not always succeed.

Bitters are very healthy partly because it activates digestion and supports the liver.

Glycostat®

Clinical research indicates that Wild Bitter Melon's patented Glycostat® extract is superior to standard extracts.
