The Best Adrenal Extract Supplement

Therapists often prescribe adrenal concentrate supplements to their patients. It is commonly used in addition to a vitamin B complex or in combination with other stress supplements.

Experiences with the use of pure adrenal concentrates are often very good.

Stress response

The function of the adrenal glands is to produce hormones, including the stress hormones cortisol and adrenaline, and therefore play an important role in regulating metabolism and managing the body's stress response.

Difference between adrenal and adrenal cortex extract

The adrenal glands consist of two parts:

- the nucleus (medulla)
- the outer shell (the adrenal cortex.

In the cortex, the hormones cortisol and aldosterone, among others, are released. In the medulla, adrenaline and norepinephrine are released.

In supplements, 2 types of extracts are used, either in combination or not:

- adrenal cortex extract
- adrenal extract

So an adrenal extract contains ingredients from the entire adrenal gland. Adrenal cortex extract only from the adrenal cortex.
