Ayurveda

Ayurveda is a traditional Indian system of medicine, and the word "Ayurveda" is derived from Sanskrit, meaning "science of life."

In Ayurveda, there is a fundamental belief that everything in life is connected. The goal is to maintain health and well-being by balancing the mind, body and spirit, and preventing disease rather than treating it.

Ayurvedic herbal supplements are an important part of this approach. They offer a variety of health benefits, including for digestion, against free radicals and mental health.

All Ayurvediq supplements are manufactured in the UK.

5 Powerful Herbs

Ayurvediq Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha is known as an adaptogen. It is native to India, North Africa and the Middle East. Although it has been used for thousands of years, ashwagandha has recently gained popularity because of the science behind its many benefits.

Turmeric has been used for thousands of years in India as both a spice and a medicinal herb. Recently, it has been found that curcuma contains compounds with medicinal properties such as curcumin. The curcumin content in the turmeric we use is between 5-7%.

Curcumin, the main compound in turmeric, is a powerful antioxidant and is good for the heart and brain. Ginger is full of antioxidants and is the perfect partner to the closely related turmeric.

Ayurvediq Moringa

Moringa is a plant native to northern India. Most of the plant is edible, although it is usually the leaves that are considered the most nutritious and offer the most concentrated dose of vitamins and minerals.

The leaves of moringa contain 7 times more vitamin C than oranges and 15 times more potassium than bananas. It also contains calcium, protein, iron and amino acids, which support your body and help build muscle. It is also full of antioxidants, substances that can protect cells from free radicals and are good for the immune system.

Shatavari is a member of the asparagus family. It grows in many parts of tropical India and Asia. It is a thorny plant with thin leaves, white flowers, red berries and most importantly, an extensive network of tuberous roots. This is the part of the Shatavari plant that is used for nutrition and as an herbal remedy in Ayurveda.

It has especially positive effects on menstruation. Shatavari is additionally good for libido and digestion.

Triphala is an Ayurvedic remedy originally from India that consists of a mixture of three dried fruits: amla, bibhitaki and haritaki. Although you may never have heard of Triphala, it has been used as a traditional medicine for over 1,000 years.

The herb Bibhitaki has beneficial effects on digestion, eyes, liver, cardiovascular, respiratory and blood sugar levels, among others.

Haritaki is good for the nervous system, skin and urinary tract, among others.
